Core the apples completely. Mix butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Divide equally between apples and stuff into the center. Peel refrigerator biscuits into 2 layers and place tightly over the holes on either end of the apples.
Turn the apples sideways onto a double layer of foil and gather foil at the top of the packet (no seams in the bottom of foil).
Bake in coals for about 1/2 hour, until dough is baked and apples are soft.
Get yourself a can of Altoids and after the mints are used pack inside several kitchen matches and a striker cut from the side of the box. Toss this inside your camp stove and you will always have a backup ignition source at the ready.
