Campfire Steak & Veggie Skewers

Juicy steak cubes threaded with bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, grilled to perfection over an open fire for a classic outdoor lunch that brings friends together around the flame.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp steak seasoning
  • 1 large red bell pepper cut into chunks
  • 1 large yellow onion cut into chunks
  • 8 pieces button mushrooms halved
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Toss steak cubes with olive oil and steak seasoning.
  • Thread steak, bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms alternately onto skewers.
  • Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  • Grill skewers over hot campfire coals, turning occasionally, for 8–10 minutes or until steak is desired doneness and veggies are lightly charred.
  • Serve skewers hot, straight from the grill.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water if using to prevent burning. Prep all ingredients ahead for quick lunchtime grilling. Let rest a minute before eating to avoid burns from the grill.
