Campfire Vanilla Chai Latte

A warming spiced chai latte brewed right over the campfire, finished with creamy milk and a hint of vanilla—ideal for crisp mornings or chilly nights under the stars.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bags black tea or 2 tsp loose leaf
  • 1 cup milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 3 cardamom pods crushed
  • 4 black peppercorns crushed
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger sliced

Instructions

  • Bring water, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns, and ginger to a boil over campfire heat.
  • Reduce to a simmer, add tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea and spices using a spoon or strainer.
  • Stir in milk, honey, and vanilla. Heat until hot but not boiling.
  • Pour into mugs and enjoy around the fire.

Notes

Prep your spices at home to save time. Use a campfire grate for stable heating, and keep milk chilled in your cooler until ready to use.
