Ingredients

  • 12 ounces edamame in pods thawed if frozen
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Heat butter in cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until melted and foaming.
  • Add edamame pods and sauté, tossing often, for 5-6 minutes until hot and blistered in spots.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt and serve hot, pods and all.

Notes

Use pre-cooked edamame for rapid camp prep. Enjoy by popping beans from the pods—no utensils required!
