Ingredients

  • 6 medium ripe plums halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter optional, melted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Brush cut sides of plums with melted butter if using.
  • Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar.
  • Place plums cut side down on a grill grate over medium campfire heat.
  • Grill for 3–4 minutes, then flip and grill 2 more minutes until soft and caramelized.

Notes

Use firm, ripe plums for best grilling. A grill basket can help prevent plums from slipping through the grate. Served straight off the fire for minimal cleanup.
