1cupold-fashioned oats
1 1/2cupsunsweetened almond milkor water
1mediumapplecored and chopped
1/3cupdried cranberries
2tbspmaple syrup
1/2tspground cinnamon
1/4tspsalt
2tbsppecansroughly chopped (optional)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine oats, almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in apples and cranberries.
Tear 2 pieces of foil (about 16” each). Divide the mixture evenly onto the center of each.
Fold up sides and seal tightly to form packets, making sure mixture is well wrapped to prevent leaks.
Place foil packets on hot campfire coals or grill grate. Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until oats are creamy and fruit is tender.
Carefully open packets (watch for steam). Sprinkle with pecans if using and enjoy warm.
Notes
