Foil Packet Campfire Churros

All the flavors of churros without the fryer! Crescent dough strips are brushed with butter, rolled in cinnamon sugar, and baked in foil packets over the fire for a crispy, sugary treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Unroll dough and cut into strips. Brush each strip with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
  • Arrange strips in a single layer on a sheet of foil. Fold up into a packet, sealing edges tightly.
  • Place packets on hot coals. Bake 12-15 minutes, occasionally rotating, until churros are golden and crisp.
  • Serve warm with chocolate sauce if desired.
