Maple Cinnamon Bourbon Camp Sipper

A gently warmed bourbon cocktail featuring real maple syrup, cinnamon, and orange—comforting for fireside evenings and easily batched for a small group.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz bourbon
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1/2 orange sliced

Instructions

  • Add water, maple syrup, cinnamon stick, and orange slices to small pot.
  • Heat over campfire until steaming, not boiling (about 5 minutes).
  • Remove from heat, stir in bourbon.
  • Pour into mugs and serve warm, garnished with orange slice.

Notes

Adjust maple and bourbon for sweetness and strength. Remove from the fire as soon as it starts to steam to avoid burning off alcohol.
