Equipment

  • Grill grate
  • Medium bowl
  • small whisk or fork
  • Tongs
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches halved, pitted
  • 2 ripe plums halved, pitted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Lightly oil the grill grate and preheat over medium campfire heat.
  • Brush cut sides of peaches and plums with olive oil.
  • Place fruit cut side down on the hot grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until surface is deeply caramelized and fruit is warmed through. Remove and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together tahini, maple syrup, lemon juice, and salt with 1 tablespoon water until smooth and pourable.
  • Arrange grilled fruit on a serving platter. Drizzle with maple-tahini sauce and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

If you don’t have a bowl, shake the tahini sauce ingredients together in a small jar. Grill fruit over hot coals, not direct flames, for best caramelization. Serve warm for the best flavor.
