Equipment

  • Cast iron skillet
  • Tongs
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Heat oil in cast iron skillet over campfire or camp stove.
  • Add halved Brussels sprouts cut side down. Sauté 8–9 minutes until well browned and tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Drizzle with honey and Sriracha. Toss to glaze, add salt, and cook 1–2 minutes more until caramelized.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Pack honey and Sriracha in mini squeeze bottles for easy use. Brussels sprouts hold up well in a cooler. Adjust heat if skillet browns veggies too quickly.
