Trailhead Chai-Spiced Overnight Oats

Rolled oats soak up the flavors of chai spices, vanilla, and maple overnight—ready for a creamy, aromatic, no-cook breakfast straight from your camp cup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Instructions

  • In each jar, combine oats, chia seeds, spices, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  • Pour plant milk over, stir, and seal.
  • Refrigerate overnight in cooler or soak at least 4 hours.
  • Stir well before eating. Top with nuts or fruit if desired.

Notes

Prep multiple jars at once for group trips. Perfect for hot mornings or trailhead breakfast-on-the-go. Use shelf-stable plant milks for bikepacking or ultralight travel.
