A naturally creamy, mint-infused hot cocoa with dark chocolate and oat milk, brewed over the campfire for a fresh, bright start to any day outdoors.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oat milk or other plant-based milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves wild or cultivated, rinsed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Add oat milk and mint leaves to a pot, heat gently over campfire until just steaming.
  • Whisk in cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Simmer 5 minutes, remove mint leaves.
  • Pour into mugs and serve steaming hot.

Notes

Mint can be foraged responsibly or packed from home. Oat milk is shelf-stable until opened—great for camp kitchens.
