Ingredients
3cupswhole milkor preferred non-dairy
1/3cupunsweetened cocoa powder
1/4cupsugaror to taste
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/4teaspoonsea salttiny pinch
1cupmarshmallows
Instructions
Add milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt to the pot.
Place over medium campfire heat and whisk constantly until cocoa and sugar dissolve and mixture steams, about 6-7 minutes. Do not boil.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Pour into mugs.
Toast marshmallows over the fire using skewers until golden brown.
Top each cup with toasted marshmallows and serve warm.
Notes
Monitor milk over campfire to avoid scorching. Toast marshmallows just before serving for gooey texture. Rinse pot immediately for easy cleaning.
