Serves: any
Prep Time: 1-30m
Difficulty: easy
Backpacking: No
Ingredients
- Whole Apples ( 1 per person)
- Butter or Margarine
- Cinnamon and/or Cinnamon Sticks
- Sugar, Brown Sugar, or Splenda
- Foil
Instructions
Slice the top off the apples and core out the center. Leave the skins on. Mix butter or margarine with the cinnamon, sugar, brown sugar, or Splenda until creamed together. Poke the butter mixture down inside the cored out area of the apple. Insert a cinnamon stick if you have them. Wrap in double thickness of foil squares. "Bake" in the coals or in a dutch oven about 30 minutes. Check one after 20 minutes by squeezing to see if it is soft. (Use a heat proof mitt of course.) Serve in the foil with a spoon. Yummy! Even the kids will love them.
