Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 pounds Round Steak
- 1 med Onion (chopped)
- 2 Cans whole potatoes (drain)
- 1 can Peas and Carrots (drain)
- 1 small can corn (un-drained)
- 1 can mushrooms (drain)
- 1 small can green beans (drain)
- 1 15 oz can Beef Broth
- 1 15 oz can Beef Gravy
- 1 Box Beef and Rice Mix w/ vermicilli
Instructions
Cube round steak and brown with onion in vegetable oil until onion is starting to turn clear. Put into a 12 quart dutch onion and add vegetables, broth and gravy. Cook over camp fire until beef is tender (2 to 3 hours). 30 minutes before you want to eat, add the Beef and Rice mix. (You can add larger cans of vegetables if you need to feed a larger crowd.)
Makes a "thick" stew.
