Original Date: 2004-09-02
Serves: 5-6
Prep Time: 1-30m
Difficulty: easy
Backpacking: No
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- one onion, diced
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 t. mustard
- 1-16 oz. can pork & beans
- 1-16 oz can great northern beans
Instructions
Cook ground beef and drain. Cook bacon and drain. Mix together all ingredients. Simmer at least 30 minutes. The longer you simmer, the tastier it is! Check often so the liquid does not all cook out.
This is great as a side dish or a quick meal! I usually make this ahead of time so I just need to heat it up while we are camping.
