Vanilla Almond Banana Muesli Cups

2

Hot mornings and early starts don’t always leave room for a stove, and nobody wants to scrub a pot before hitting the trail. These Vanilla Almond Banana Muesli Cups are made for that reality: stir them together ahead of time, let them soak while you sleep, and grab a cold breakfast when it’s time to break camp.

Rolled oats turn creamy but keep a bit of bite, dried banana adds mellow sweetness, and toasted almonds hold onto their crunch. A touch of vanilla gives the whole cup a fresh, bakery-like smell that feels right at home on a picnic table.

For camp logistics, it’s as simple as packing the dry mix in small jars or lidded cups, adding milk or plant milk at camp, and sliding them into the cooler. They travel well, serve fast, and cleanup is just a quick rinse—no ash, no greasy pan, no extra water wasted.

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk or plant milk plus more as needed
  • 1/3 cup dried banana chips roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup toasted almonds chopped
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds optional for thickness

  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • Add oats, chia seeds (if using), cinnamon, and salt to a lidded container or bowl.
  • Stir in chopped banana chips and half the almonds.
  • Pour in milk, vanilla, and honey. Mix well so all oats are moistened.

  • Top with remaining almonds and a few extra banana chips. Enjoy chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Pack dry ingredients together and add milk at camp. Muesli can soak overnight in a cooler for extra softness or be eaten after a short rest if pressed for time. Perfect for no-flame mornings or hot weather.
